Corrine - Coordinator, Student Success Center

Hi, I’m Corrine and I'm the Coordinator of the Student Success Center.  When I’m not tutoring students or working in my office, I’m completing my PhD in English at Saint Louis University (Missouri) where I study the teaching of writing, writing center theory & practice, and rhetorical theory. During my free time, I love hanging out with my family, reading, hiking, camping, writing, shopping, and going to the movies. I hope you’ll come in and take advantage of all that the SSC has to offer. We're here to help you succeed!

       Isabel - English Tutor

Hi, my name is Yinsan Isabel Hsu. I am currently enrolled in the MA Psychology program at UWest and BCLAD Teaching Credential program at another university. Upon my graduation with an MS in Education (TESOL), I taught ILP/ESL to middle school and kindergarten students for six years. For leisure, I most enjoy spending time with my family (my nephews and niece are so adorable) and friends, traveling, and sipping a cup of good coffee or tea. I am very excited to be a student again and meeting you.

     Tia - English Tutor

Hey everyone, my name is Tia Hendrickson and I am here to help you! I'm currently majoring in Buddhist Psychology right here at UWest. For me, the subject of writing and the action of helping others comes naturally. I've received nothing less than an "A" in my writing classes and papers in the past, and I have a true knack for helping others improve in the best way possible for them. In my free time, I enjoy playing drums, guitar, ukulele, pocket sax, blowing glass, drawing, reading, yoga, and anything outside in nature. I'm looking forward to this semester in the student success center and feel that we can achieve anything with a positive attitude!

Ven. Long Yun - Chinese Tutor

Hi, I am Long Yun (a.k.a. Cai Zhi Yun). I am in the PhD program studying Buddhism. I have taught Chinese to non-Chinese students for several years, and I love to translate books from classical Chinese to modern Chinese in my free time. I believe nothing is difficult if we do our best. I am enthusiastic about studying Chinese with you and making Chinese language learning a fun-filled experience.
