University of the West is joining with the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) to help celebrate the National Day on Writing, October 20, 2009.
 
The Student Success Center has established a local gallery where students, faculty, staff, and friends of the university can contribute writings of all types (Including videos, audio files, hypertext documents) and from all genres (everyday writings, creative pieces, and academic work).
 
Participants can post their work to the National Gallery or to the local gallery for the university. Contributions can be made any time between now and June 2010.
 
Visit the contribution home page at http://galleryofwriting.org/contribute.php. There, you'll be asked to complete an easy online registration form, choose a gallery, and upload your piece. When choosing a gallery, search for the UWest gallery called "Writing from East to West."
